Trick or Treat

We took Landon trick or treating for the very first time in Sea Cliff! It was precious! He would walk up there and say the cutest "Trick or Treat". I think that he was a little leary at first, but once he received his first treat he understood the process and was ready to move house to house. Can you believe that you walk up to people's houses and they just give you candy!! AMAZING! The funniest part of this was on Monday when we went on a walk through Sea Cliff and Landon asked if we could go ask for more candy.Friday, October 30, 2009
Mimi Time

Let's just say that Tatum is already a Mommy's girl. She has had a little bit of seperation anxiety when Mimi comes to take her from me to burp her or snuggy her. This definitely hurts Mimi's feelings but luckily Landon is there to give Mimi lots of love and attention. But recently she has started to warm up to Mimi which just makes Mimi's day! I have had to have a lot of pep talks with Tatum. "I need you to LOVE your Mimi. Mimi gives Mommy a break when she needs it and I need you to be nice to your Mimi." I think our talks have started to get through to her.Preschool Halloween Party & Lunch with Daddy
Today Landon's preschool class had a Halloween party and I was shocked at the fact that he kept his costume on the entire time. After preschool we took off the costume and went downtown to have lunch with Daddy. We have met Carlos for lunch a lot of times, but Landon has never been able to go up and check out his Daddy's office. He thought it was so cool to ride the elevator up to the 24th floor. Landon loved the view from Daddy's office.

Four Months Old

How can you possibly be four months old? Time is going by so fast. I feel like I just brought you home from the hospital. This is what you have been up to:- You started really engaging with us and giving us a lot of smiles.
- You give your Daddy big smiles when he comes home from work.
- You started being able to sit upright with assistance.
- I was able to start carrying you on my hip because you could sit upright.
- You really started to get the gist of your jumpy and have really taken a liking to it.
- I am able to move you from your jumpy to your activity center to your Bumbo and you are able to keep yourself entertained.
- You like to sit in your Bumbo on the dining room table when we eat dinner and stare at your brother as he "attempts" to eat his dinner.
- You have started joining your brother for reading time and get really excited at the prospect of eating the book.
- Still are not a huge fan of tummy time.
- Started being more "open" to baby carriers - Ergo and Didymos (yes, I have a lot of baby wearing apparatus).
- Your hair has stopped falling out and seems to be growing back in.
- You really like to suck on your fingers - sometimes one, sometimes two or three.
- We should potentially invest in Duracell stock since we seem to have to buy a new pack of D batteries once a week to keep your swing swinging!
- You are completely through your colicky period but still take your reflux medicine.
- You are quite the sweet little princess and I can't stop kissing you.

Reading Time

Tatum has recently started joining Daddy and Landon at reading time before bedtime. Tatum really seems to be liking reading time but Landon is definitely not sure how he feels about the new addition. Tatum is constantly grabbing the book or slamming her hand against it as Daddy is reading. Landon doesn't say anything to Tatum but you can see a slightly perturbed expression on his face.Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Patch
We met Jeff, Linsey and Barrett down in Half Moon Bay to pick out a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch. Landon had a great time running around in the field and climbing the haystacks. The little ones were not quite sure what to think of it. The silliest part of the whole trip was that we didn't take family photos even though we had each other to take pictures of our families. SO SILLY! After the pumpkin patch we went to Sam's Chowder House on the water and had my favorite lobster roll! YUMMY!
